其实格斗游戏真实性这个问题有两个完全不同的角度1 是动作本身的真实性2 是系统的真实性很多人吵的时候完全针对的是不同的角度，所以永远吵不出结果。先说动作的真实性。动作的真实性是更好做到的，你只要照着画就可以了，即使像恶魔战士那种完全虚构的角色，角色的动作也不可能是凭空设计的，大体的框架和细节还是参考真人的动作。而且由于玩家多少都接触过一些格斗的片段和作品，游戏里的动作自然越真实越好看。比如街霸的隆，虽然几个必杀技是完全虚构的，但普通技和特殊技还是相当真实的，而且只要 *** 人愿意，做到100%真实都可以。在3D FTG使用动作采集前，就已经有2D游戏运用动作采集了，那就是空前的神作《龙虎之拳外传》。它采用的是动画上的转描技术，人物动作与现实完全一样，而且极为流畅。彩京的堕落天使等作品也高度还原了真人动作。（这方面真人快打反而是最差的）

但是这些真实的动作打起来的效果却是非常不真实的，不说街霸升龙拳把人打上天，就以最真实的VF为例，己方的直拳被对方挡住，现实中拳头会停止在人体表面，但游戏中却是拳头穿过人体！因为计算机性能限制，角色模型只能照搬预先设置好的几套动作，而物理模型也极尽简化，它们根本不具备再现真实格斗的基础。所以格斗游戏的系统只能是尽力模拟现实。要模拟现实有两条路线，1是将现实加以简化，比如飞行模拟和赛车游戏都是这样，2是从头开始设计一套与现实完全无关的体系，但这个系统在特定的情况下，可以呈现出与现实格斗类似的特性。这就是大部分格斗游戏的思路。我们一般都认为街霸是超级系，但街霸的对战也有其真实的一面。

现实格斗中双方攻防的要点之一在于让对手判断失误，出招落空或陷入不利姿态，己方获得有利的姿态，街霸的对战大部分时间也就是在做这样的事情（所谓立回）。轻中重攻击不同的攻击范围和持续时间都是用来支撑这一系统的。反过来看真实系格斗，VF中将攻击分为3段，现实中根本没有这么简单，尤其是中段攻击，被简化为一种特殊的属性，乍一看和上段没有区别，却可以破坏蹲防对手的防御，这是很奇怪的。但实际打起来却也像模像样，反正大部分格斗在一定距离外都只能看到大致的打击位置，与段位相差不大。
